See if we should work together

LaRonya Farrar

I am a Registered Psychological Associate (PSB94026666) who works with individuals, couples, and adult families. No matter the reason you are seeking therapy, my goal is to provide you with support for your growth, and that includes identifying and improving your current strengths. Developing a strong therapeutic relationship is imperative to the therapeutic process and, together, I will also help you with that. Though growth can sometimes be uncomfortable, I will support you in addressing your current challenges and becoming a better and healthier version of yourself while also providing a judgment-free, compassionate, and safe space.

My trauma-focused and interpersonal approach explores your family of origin and how it has affected you. I also utilize other approaches specific to your needs such as:

  • Psychodynamic (for self-awareness and the understanding of behaviors)
  • Exposure therapy (for obsessive-compulsive tendencies)
  • Dialectical behavioral therapy (for difficulty self-regulating)
  • Strength-based therapy (for low self-esteem)
  • Family systems therapy (for difficult family dynamics)

Do any of these resonate with you? I specialize in:

  • Transgenerational trauma among people of color
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Personality disorders
  • Family conflict
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress management
  • Healthy anger
  • Life transitions
  • Self-harm/Suicidal ideation
